Eastern Cuba is one of the areas still to be discovered by the majority
of those who plan their holidays in this beautiful country, although
it has some of the nation’s most impressive cities: Santiago
de Cuba, the second most important city in the country. Baracoa,
the first city to be founded during the Spanish colonization, and
Holguin, the country’s third city with its spectacular Guardalavaca
beach. This programme combines their peculiar atmosphere with the
natural attractions of these parts.
Day 1 - Arrival at Antonio Maceo International
Airport, Santiago de Cuba. Transfer to either Hotel San Juan u Hotel
Las Americas. Check-in. Dinner. Free evening.
Day 2 - Breakfast. Tour of the centre, including
visits to the Rum House, the Céspedes Park, and Enramada
Street.. Visit to the San Pedro de la Roca Castle. Lunch at El Morro
Restaurant. Departure to the Baconao Park, Biosphere Reserve. Visit
to the Prehistoric Valley, the aquarium and the Baconao Laguna.
Return to the hotel. Dinner. Free evening.
Day 3 - Breakfast. Transfer to the natural park
La Gran Piedra. Visit to the Mirador Natural, a look-out pint. Visit
to the Botanical garden and the remains of the Isabelica coffee
plantation. Visit to the plantation’s museum. Check-in at
the Motel Gran Piedra. Lunch. Free afternoon. Dinner. Free evening.
Day 4 - Breakfast Departure to Baracoa. Lunch-stop
at the Mirador de Malones, the look-out point closest to the US
Naval Base of Guantanamo. Check-in at either Hotel Porto or Hotel
El Castillo, in Baracoa. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Free evening.
Day 5 - Breakfast. Tour of the city of Baracoa.
Visit to the Matachín Museum, to the Cathedral and the banks
of Toa river. Creole style lunch on site. Return to the hotel. Dinner.
Free evening
Day 6 - Breakfast. Departure to Guardalavaca to
enjoy a day at the beach.. Lunch at Aldea Taina. Transfer to Holguín
city. Check-in at the El Bosque hotel. Dinner. Free evening.
Day 7 - Breakfast. Tour of the city of Holguín,
its most important streets, squares and avenues. Transfer to Santiago
de Cuba. Check-in at either Hotel Las Americas or Hotel San Juan.
Lunch. Afternoon tour of the village of El Cobre. Visit to the Basílica
de la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, Patroness of Cuba. Return
to the hotel. Dinner. Evening performance by the Cabaret Tropicana
de Santiago(includes welcome cóctel).
Day 8 - Breakfast. Transfer to the Santiago de
Cuba airport and return to the country of origin. End of package.
